Artist: Wei Luo
In the 1970s, Wei Luo studied sketch oil painting with Professor Wan FuTang.
In the 1980s, Wei Luo studied Art Design at Shanghai Applied Technology University. From 1984 to 1998, he was the TV show stunt designer in Shanghai Television Station (STV).
Currently Wei Luo is the Director of Planning in Shanghai Qianjin Group, Shanghai, China.
Wei Luo is the member of Shanghai Artists Association, Shanghai, China.
With YOUNG ART STUDIO's support, Wei Luo has started to participate in Australian Art Shows since mid of 2018. It was a great success that Wei Luo submited six pieces of artwork to Camberwell Art Show 2018 in Melbourne, he sold two pieces of oil paintings, one was "Guzheng Player", the other was "Yao Dong (House Cave)".
"Yao Dong (House Cave)" received the Award of "SSX Security Best Oil/Acrylic under $1500". The judge's comments were: Wei Luo presented a strong selection of subjects, all displayed a masterful understanding of technique and will be looked for in future exhibitions.
Followed with that, Wei Luo again successfully sold the piece named "Rehearsal" at The Bayside Art Show 2018, as well as the other piece "Nude I" was awarded as "Highly Commented".
After that, Albert Park College Art Show 2018 awarded Wei Luo's piece with $500.00 prize.
Warragul Art Show 2018 awarded the Best in Art Show to the piece named "Guitar Player" and won $2000.00 prize.
Due to COVID-19, all art shows were stopped unfortunately, but Wei Luo has been continuing his passion on oil painting.
